The International Standard Book Number (ISBN) is a nationally and internationally recognized identifier used to uniquely distinguish a book and its edition. TWR Book Publishing Services assists authors in securing ISBNs for both print and digital editions, ensuring proper registration and traceability in publishing databases. This allows books to be formally recognized, cataloged, distributed, and sold through bookstores, libraries, and online platforms.

Copyright Registration

Copyright is the legal protection granted to the creator or owner of an original literary work. TWR Book Publishing Services facilitates the copyright registration process to help safeguard the author’s intellectual property. Copyright holders retain the exclusive rights to reproduce, distribute, adapt, and authorize the use of their work under agreed terms, providing legal protection against unauthorized use or reproduction.

Guidelines for Contributors

TWR Book Publishing Services publishes original, unpublished work. To ensure a smooth and efficient publishing process, authors are requested to review and comply with the following guidelines.

1. Scope
We accept manuscripts across various genres, including but not limited to:

  • Trade books (fiction and non-fiction)

    • Trade books are written for a general audience and are sold through regular bookstores. They include both fiction and non-fiction and focus on readability, storytelling, or practical insight rather than formal instruction.

  • Academic books and textbooks

    • These books are intended for scholarly or educational use. They are often written by experts, include references and citations, and are used in universities or professional training programs.

  • Children’s books

    • Children’s books are written specifically for young readers, with age-appropriate language, themes, and illustrations. They range from picture books to early chapter books and young adult novels.

2. Manuscript Submission Requirements

Be sure to review the following requirements before submitting your work:

Format

  • Manuscript in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format

  • Text must be clearly formatted, using a standard font

Originality and Grammar

  • Manuscripts should be properly edited and proofread prior to submission

  • Submitted works must be original and must not infringe on any existing copyrights

  • Authors are solely responsible for the content of their manuscript

  • If the work includes third-party materials (e.g., images, charts, excerpts), authors must secure written permission prior to publication.

Use of Images and Media

If a submission includes archival materials, photographs, or excerpts from copyrighted works, contributors must:

  • secure permissions in advance, or

  • demonstrate that materials are in the public domain or are subject to fair use.

Citation and Attribution

  • Parenthetical, footnote, or endnote systems are acceptable.

  • Citation style may follow APA, Chicago, MLA, or other scholarly formats, as long as it is internally consistent.

  • Source titles, authors, and publication details must be verified whenever possible.

  • Direct quotations, paraphrases, or specific cultural references should be properly acknowledged.

AI and Digital Tools Policy

We do not accept work generated entirely by AI.

Authors may use digital tools for:

  • grammar correction,

  • formatting,

  • research assistance, and

  • drafting support.

However, authors must disclose meaningful AI involvement. Undisclosed AI-generated work may result in disqualification from current and future submissions.

Language

  • We accept submissions in English, Filipino, Cebuano, and other Philippine languages. Translations or contextual cues may be requested at editorial discretion.

Ethics & Community Conduct

Wise Pages supports a literary community grounded in respect. We do not publish material that promotes:

  • Discrimination

  • Explicit hate

  • Harassment

  • Defamation

  • Targeted harm

Submissions depicting violence, trauma, or sensitive themes are not automatically disqualified but should exhibit literary intent and thoughtful framing.

Previously Published Work & Reprints

We do not publish reprints or previously published material, including works that appeared on personal blogs, public forums, or social platforms, unless explicitly negotiated with the editorial team.

3. Publishing Services

Authors availing the following professional services will be asked to submit the following specific requirements after downpayment:

  • Copyright registration

    • Notarized special power of attorney

    • Valid IDs of all authors with 3 specimen signatures

    • Duly filled out the Copyright Registration Form

    • Dully filled out Supplemental Form (if more than 1 author)

  • Full book cover design (front, back, and spine)

    • Book and Author Info Sheet

  • Book layout and formatting

    • Editable Manuscript in Microsoft Word format

  • Illustration services (particularly for children’s books, subject to agreement)

    • Editable Manuscript in Microsoft Word format

Specific service inclusions, timelines, and fees will be discussed and outlined upon request.

4. Revisions and Approvals

  • Authors are required to review and approve all layouts, cover designs, and illustrations.

  • Revisions are limited to the number specified in the service agreement.

  • Final approval from the author is required before printing or digital release.

5. Author Responsibilities

  • Authors must provide accurate personal and book information.

  • Authors are responsible for reviewing proofs carefully prior to final approval.

  • Delays in feedback or approval may affect the publishing timeline

6. Agreement and Compliance

All authors must sign a formal publishing agreement with TWR Book Publishing Services. Submission of a manuscript does not guarantee publication until all requirements and agreements are fulfilled.

7. Withdrawal & Rights

Contributors may withdraw their submissions prior to acceptance. After acceptance, withdrawal may occur only by written notice and with editorial confirmation, as production may already be underway.

Upon publication:

  • Authors retain copyright.

  • TWR Book Publishing Services retains archival rights for digital and print records.

8. Confidentiality

Submissions are treated as confidential. Editorial deliberations are not made public.

9. Editorial Process

All submissions undergo a multi-stage editorial workflow:


I. Submission

Authors submit their manuscripts through our official Google Form.

II. Editorial Screening (within 1 week)

An editor conducts a review of the submitted work. Authors are notified of the result—Accepted, Revise, or Declined—within one week of submission.

III. Acceptance Notification

For accepted works, the authors receive detailed instructions for the next steps.

10. Publication & Release of Documents

Upon publication, authors receive:

  • e-copy of the certificate of authorship

  • e-copy of the certificate of publication

  • editorial evaluation and review certification

  • e-copy of certificate of copyright registration (if availed)

  • ISBN Certificate

  • e-copy of the book

  • printed copy (upon request)
